Peyote Plant Locations: 34 Story Mode Plants & 76 GTA Online Event Plants

The map tracks two separate sets of plants:

• Story Mode (34 plants): 15 land plants, 6 underwater plants and 6 air plants, plus the 7 Golden Peyotes described below.
• GTA Online event (76 plants): 50 land plants, 24 underwater plants and 2 special plants. These only spawn during seasonal event weeks.

What you turn into depends on where the plant grows:

• Land animals: Roam the wilderness or city sidewalks as a Mountain Lion, Coyote, Wild Boar, Border Collie, Pug, Rottweiler, or Deer.
• Birds: Soar above Mount Chiliad and the Los Santos skyline as a Hawk, Seagull, Crow, Pigeon, or Cormorant with full aerial pitch, roll, and dive controls.
• Marine life: Dive along Paleto Cove and the Pacific Bluffs to swim as a Great White Shark, Hammerhead Shark, Killer Whale (Orca), Tiger Shark, or Dolphin.

Each animal classification features bespoke physics, camera angles, and action controls:

• Aviary Navigation: Pressing sprint flaps wings to gain altitude, while pulling back or pushing forward on the pitch controls dives and banks through downtown skyscraper canyons. Pressing the vehicle horn key triggers an aerial defecation action on unsuspecting pedestrians below.
• Quadruped Combat: Mountain Lions and Boars possess high-speed sprint dashes and a lethal pounce attack capable of incapacitating civilians and enemy NPCs in a single strike. Barks, growls, and roars trigger panic animations across surrounding pedestrians.
• Marine Navigation: Marine animals possess full 3D underwater pitch and roll controls. Shark transformations can surface-breach and bite swimmers or deep-sea divers without oxygen limitations.

Beyond the 27 standard Story Mode plants lies Grand Theft Auto V's most legendary single-player easter egg: the Golden Peyote.

Consuming all seven Golden Peyote plants in the correct sequence transforms you into Sasquatch (Bigfoot), possessing superhuman strength, custom melee sound effects, and the ability to wield firearms.

Prerequisites for Golden Peyote spawns:

1. You must have reached true 100% Game Completion on your save file.
2. You must have completed the post-100% Strangers and Freaks mission "The Last One".
3. Each of the 7 Golden Peyotes only appears on one specific day of the week (Sunday through Saturday) between 5:30 AM and 8:00 AM, and exclusively during foggy or snowy weather.

Following the growls and animal carcasses across Blaine County eventually leads to an epic showdown against The Beast, unlocking both characters in the Rockstar Editor Director Mode.

Due to their tiny visual footprint (often hidden behind desert scrub, garden planters, or 20 feet underwater in murky ocean kelp), finding all 110 plants across both sets without guidance is virtually impossible.

Our interactive map features precise 0–12000 in-game coordinate markers with in-game screenshots for every single plant, allowing completionists to sweep every mountain range and ocean trench with zero wasted effort.

If you want to terminate an animal hallucination early, hold down the right directional button (or hold the vehicle exit key on keyboard) for three seconds. Your character will collapse and awaken at the nearest hospital or shoreline medical center with full health.

Before consuming isolated plants atop Mount Chiliad, Mount Josiah, or the Paleto Bay bluffs, make a quick manual save via your in-game cell phone. If your animal form accidentally falls off a canyon precipice or gets mauled by hostile wolves, reloading your quick-save avoids having to hike all the way back up the mountain peak.
